How I can help

People most often come to me experiencing:

Depression, anxiety and chronic stress

Low mood, tension that will not let go, feeling overloaded or burnt out – when everyday life starts to cost more than it gives.

Trauma and difficult experiences

As a psychotraumatologist I work with people after painful, wounding experiences – including those from years ago that still shape life today.

Relationships, self-esteem and personal crisis

Recurring difficulties in close relationships, low self-esteem, a sense of being stuck – or a moment when life as you knew it stopped holding together.

Sexuality and intimacy

Low libido, pain during intercourse, erectile difficulties, struggles in intimate relationships or with accepting your own sexuality – as well as the wish to understand yourself better in this area.

How I work

Psychotherapy is a regular meeting built on trust and a stable frame. Here is what you can expect.

Monika Pszczołowska

psychologist · psychotraumatologist · sexologist · psychotherapist in training

I work psychodynamically with adults. I accompany people through emotional difficulties, after painful life experiences and in times of crisis – and, as a sexologist, also in the area of sexuality and intimacy. My additional training in Rational Behavior Therapy helps me support work on negative beliefs and their impact on everyday life.

What matters most to me is real help for another human being. I believe change begins in a relationship – and that one person’s growth is an investment that radiates outward: to their loved ones, their relationships, and the world we all share.

Frequently asked questions

A few things people ask before their first appointment.

I am not sure my problem is “serious enough” for therapy.

There is no threshold of suffering you need to cross. If something worries you, wears you down or keeps repeating in your life – that is enough. The first consultation exists precisely so we can look at it together.

How does online therapy differ from in-person therapy?

In effectiveness – not much: research shows comparable outcomes. The difference is logistics. Some people prefer the office, others value skipping the commute. You can also combine both.

How long does therapy take?

It depends on what you bring and what you need – from a few months to longer-term work. You sign no commitment; we decide on the pace and the ending together.

I feel embarrassed talking about sexuality. Is that normal?

Very. Most people put this topic off for years precisely out of embarrassment – and usually suffer in silence unnecessarily. In a sexology consultation there are no improper questions and no forbidden topics; the conversation moves at your pace and only covers what you are ready for.

Are our conversations confidential?

Yes. I am bound by professional confidentiality. Exceptions are defined by law and apply only to situations of direct threat to life or health.

Choose a time that works for you – we will take care of the rest together.
